ETUDE SUR 100 SITES INTERNET
En 2007 nous avons réalisé une étude sur 100 sites internet en version anglaise appartenant à des sociétés françaises de domaines d’activités diverses et de toutes tailles...Nous avons constaté les résultats suivants:
* 23% des sites comportaient des erreurs fréquentes d'anglais
* 24% des sites comportaient quelques erreurs
* 49% des sites n'avaient pas d'erreurs de grammaire ou d’orthographe mais laissaient transparaître une traduction trop littérale non adaptée au style de rédaction anglophone.
Seulement 4% des sites semblaient avoir été traduit ET localisés pour capter le prospect ou client anglophone.
STUDY OF 100 INTERNET SITES
In 2007 we undertook a study of 100 English version websites published by French companies of different sizes and from different sectors of activity. We noted that :
* 23% of sites had frequent mistakes in the English
* 24% of sites had occasional mistakes
* 49% of sites did not have grammatical or spelling mistakes, but had been translated literally and were not adapted to English copywriting style.
Only 4% of sites seemed to have been translated and localized in order to really speak to English language prospects or customers.
